Private Black Lives


We are stoic, we are proud, we are intent. We are the formidable other. 

Here's a radical thought: we are like everyone else. 

Here, undetected, I slowly gaze at the private black lives that I am privy to.

But I won't say no politics, even if it doesn't foreground in these images, being black is politics.
