An Aesthetic of Accumulation
I have been mulling over what 'an aesthetic of accumulation' would premise after noticing my tendency to appreciate things in collectivity-made that way a) by people whose presence is immaterial in the context; b) with the absence, but the allusion of people in the vicinity c) without mention of human presence in any form, at the time of my noticing. After further reflection, I realised that some of what I was observing that I wanted to visually rein, wasn’t just a framing of unique things that had gradually or purposely collected, but also of a multiplicity of identical elements.
